Settings for multimedia messages
You may receive the multimedia connection settings as an over the air message
from the network operator or service provider. To receive the settings over the air,
see
Over the air settings service

.
Keying in the settings manually
Press
Menu

Multimedia msgs.

Save sent messages
. Select

to set the phone to save sent multimedia
messages in the
Sent items
folder. If you select

, the sent messages are not
saved.

Delivery reports
to ask the network to send delivery reports about your
messages (network service).

Scale image down
to define the image size when you insert the image to the
multimedia message.
•
Default slide timing
to define the default time for slides composed for
multimedia messages.
•
Allow multimedia reception
. Choose

or
In home network
to use the
multimedia service. If you choose
In home network
, you cannot receive
multimedia messages when outside your home network. The default setting is

Incoming multimedia messages
. Select
Retrieve
to set the phone to
automatically fetch newly received multimedia messages, or select

if
you do not wish to receive multimedia messages. This setting is not shown if

Connection settings
to define connection settings for retrieving multimedia
messages. First select
Active multimedia settings
and activate the set in which
you want to save the connection settings. Select
Edit active multimedia
settings
and edit the active settings.
Select each of the settings one by one and key in all the required settings.
Contact your network operator or service provider for the the settings.

Settings' name
. Key in the new name for the connection set and press
OK
.

Homepage
. Key in the homepage address of the service provider that you
want to use, press
for a dot, and press
OK
.

Proxies
. Select
Enable

Disable

• If you have enabled the proxies, you can select

Bearer settings
to set the settings for the selected bearer.

. You can receive or reject advertisements. This setting is not
